Rajasthan is the famous center of hand block print in India. Its soil & climate provide a perfect blend for this exclusive style of printing. This print is a combination of limestone, pomegranate, indigo, clay & gum. After the dyed fabric is left for drying, the dried fabric is stamped with wooden blocks. Motifs of Rajasthan hand block prints are Aath kaliya, chopad & kamal. Nowadays due to moderation in the textile sector, other motifs of different flowers are also being used by the Tribes of Rajasthan.
